How this search works
Type a keyword and TG Compass looks through an index of public Telegram groups and channels. You get the group name, what it is about, and a link that opens it in Telegram. Nothing is installed, and you are not asked to sign in.
Two limits are worth knowing. Only public groups are listed — a private group cannot be found from outside, here or in Telegram itself. And a listing is not a recommendation: TG Compass describes what a group says it is, not how good it is. Read the description, open it, and leave if it is not for you.

- TG Compass is a free Telegram search engine. It helps you find public Telegram groups, channels and bots, and open them in Telegram. Telegram itself has no public directory, so without a tool like this the usual way to find a group is a link someone sends you.
- How is TG Compass different from Telegram's own search?
- Telegram's built-in search mostly shows groups and channels you have already joined or opened. TG Compass searches public communities you have never seen before, and sorts them by topic so you can browse instead of guessing at keywords.
- Is TG Compass free?
- Yes. Searching, browsing every topic, and opening any group link are all free. There is no account and no payment at any point.
- How do I search for a Telegram group?
- Type a keyword into the search box — for example 'bitcoin', 'cooking' or 'python'. Results show the group name, its description and its topic. Select any result to open that group in Telegram.
- Do I need a Telegram account?
- Not to search. You can browse the whole index without one. You need a Telegram account only at the point where you join a group, because the joining happens inside Telegram, not here.
- Does TG Compass store my searches?
- No. Your searches are not tied to you, and there is no account to tie them to. We count how often each group link is opened, so the index can show what people actually use, but that count is per group and never per person.
- How does a group get into the index?
- Groups are added from public Telegram links and sorted into topics automatically. Listings describe public communities for discovery. TG Compass does not run these groups and is not responsible for what is posted in them.
